We’re a small, family-owned electrical business based in the Western Bay of Plenty, proudly serving Whakamārama, Ōmokoroa, Tauranga, and surrounding communities.

What began as a one-person operation has grown into a close-knit team of electricians, apprentices, and support staff who all share the same values: reliability, clear communication, and pride in their work.
We don’t aim to be a large corporate outfit. Instead, we focus on staying small enough to care and experienced enough to handle just about anything.
We’re also passionate about training apprentices and passing on real-world skills to the next generation of electricians.
Meet Grayson
Business Owner | Qualified Electrician
Hi, I’m Grayson.
I live in Whakamārama with my partner and our two children. Our youngest is at a local school, and our eldest is at college. This community is home for us, and it’s where both our family life and business are built.
I’ve been working in the electrical and electronics industry for over 25 years, and along the way I’ve been lucky to work alongside some incredibly skilled people who have shaped the way I approach my work today.
Grayson Dales Electrical started with a simple idea — to provide a reliable, practical, and down-to-earth electrical service for local homes and businesses. Something honest, approachable, and built on doing things properly.
Since then, the business has grown through word of mouth, local recommendations, and the support of our community. That’s something I don’t take for granted, and I’m genuinely grateful for every client who puts their trust in us.
Meet Dre
Apprentice Electrician
Dre joined the team in 2022 and has steadily grown his skills ever since. He’s a “no fuss” electrician who gets stuck in and gets the job done without overcomplicating things.
He takes real pride in his work and has a strong eye for detail, always making sure everything is completed properly and to a high standard. Dre is methodical in his approach, thinking things through to ensure the end result is right for our customers.
He brings a calm, can-do attitude to every job and is always willing to take on a challenge. Dre is a valued part of the team and a great example of steady, reliable workmanship.
Meet Isaac
Apprentice Electrician
Isaac joined the team last August and is now on the home stretch to becoming fully qualified in the coming months.
He thrives on a challenge and enjoys working through complex electrical and automation issues. While he’s known for keeping the team laughing, he switches immediately into focus mode when it comes to safety, precision, and getting the job done right.
Isaac enjoys residential work, but his real passion lies in industrial electrical work and fault-finding. To our industrial clients — you’ll be seeing a lot more of him soon.
Meet Erena
Administration & Support
Erena works in the office one day a week, supporting the team with accounts and administration to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
She brings a warm, reliable presence to the business and is always willing to jump in and help wherever needed. Her attention to detail and positive attitude make her a valued part of the wider team.
With a strong connection to the family business, Erena plays an important role in keeping things organised and operating efficiently.
